The Certified Beer Server training will include guided tastings of some of the more unique beer styles that you will be required to understand and answer questions about to help train your mind to associate flavors with specific styles of beers.

Certified Cicerone

The Certified Cicerone training class consists of 8 sessions, each between 2 and 3 hours in length.  This class is a comprehensive class that includes training on all applicable beer styles required for both the written and tasting exam.  The most difficult portion of the Certified Cicerone exam is the tasting portion and to ensure that you are prepared for it, Educate.Beer has developed a complete list of beers that need to be tasted and understood to be fully prepared for the test.  More than that, Educate.Beer Certified Cicerone crash courses include off-flavor tasting, one of the most difficult skills for most people.  A lot of people say “I’m just not a good taster” but that’s not true!  Everyone can be a good taster, it just takes practice, practice and more practice and this is what Educate.Beer will bring you!

The Certified Cicerone exam also includes a brewing portion of the exam and to cover this topic, during one of the weeks a batch of beer will be brewed so you can understand the process.  The best part is that at the conclusion of the 8 sessions we will get to taste, evaluate and assess that exact beer that you will have brewed!
